Obituary of Bruce E Marich

Please share a memory of Bruce to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Beloved husband, brother, father, pop pop, uncle, friend, mentor, phenomenal soul Bruce E. Marich passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was 80 years young. Bruce lived a full and wondrous life.

Born in New Brunswick to the late Ernest and Margaret (Gombas) Marich, he was a fifty year resident of North Brunswick. He was an administrator at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, positively impacting lives for 36 years before retiring this past July.

Bruce was a communicant to Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in Milltown. In his lifetime he actively engaged in professional associations like NJACAC and MCSCA and community service organizations like Kiwanis International and Circle K International where he served as Governor and District Administrator. Bruce was a Loyal Son of Rutgers University as well as a committed and involved alumnus who was excited to begin his post-retirement life as an Alumni Senator with the Rutgers University Senate.

His adventurous spirit took him on travels around the world, making new friends everywhere he went. He had a love of nature, as much for the beaches and oceans as for the mountains and trails. He believed in the transformative power of kindness and compassion. Bruce made a unique difference in every life he touched.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years Jacquelyn (Flagg) Marich; three daughters – Mary Corso and her husband David of Ashburn, Virginia, Melyssa Lewis and her husband Christopher of Spotswood and Meghan Ingstrup and her husband Justin of Milltown; his son Michael Marich and his wife Denise of Howell; three sisters – Gail Wachala of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Sr. Janet Marich, FDC of San Diego, California and Paula Mallette of Riverside, California; eight grandchildren – Abigail, Trevor, Dakota, Jack, Noelle, Luke, Trenton, and Owen; his pets – Lili and Luna; grandpets – Daisy, Jack, GillyBean, Milo, Sam, Dave, DeeDee, Fergus, Ricky, Charlotte, and Stormy; and dear cousins, nieces, a nephew, and countless friends who became family.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 8th, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Thursday from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in Milltown. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, you can honor Bruce by donating or volunteering your time to a cause or organization that will make a difference in your community. We encourage you to carry on his legacy by taking chances, going on adventures, living big, and loving even bigger. Cheers, Moose!
