Obituary of Merope Sirimis

Merope (Mylonas) Sirimis died Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. She was 91. Born in Nicosia, Cyprus to the late Michael and Elpida (HadjiKyprianou) Mylonas she lived in Piscataway before moving to Dayton 21 years ago. Mrs. Sirimis was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway and the Cyprus Association of New Jersey. Her husband Kyriakos J. Sirimis died in 2015. Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law– Michael and Helen Sirimis of Kendall Park, John and Valerie Sirimis of Hamilton, Chris and Maria Sirimis of Monmouth Junction and Peter and Maria Sirimis of Dayton; two brothers – Kypros Mylonas and Ntinos Mylonas, both of Cyprus; and twelve grandchildren – Louisa, Miranda, Alexandra, Arianna Stevens and her husband Daniel, Merope, Kyriakos, Alexia, Kyriakos, Serafim, Hope, Kyra and Gabriel. Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1101 River Road, Piscataway followed by a 10:00 AM funeral service at the church. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. George Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
