Obituary of Danielle M. Shine

Danielle M. Shine passed away Friday, December 24, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 31.

Born in New Brunswick she lived in Milltown and was a 2008 graduate of Spotswood High School. She attended Middlesex County College. Danielle was a smart and compassionate person with a huge heart. She worked as a skilled customer service supervisor at Corrugated Plastics in Hillsborough. She later became a certified veterinary assistant and her love for animals became a passion in working with cat rescue organizations.

She had a love for basketball and was known for her large collection of Jordan Nike sneakers to coordinate with every outfit she wore.

Surviving are her son Jordan Speed; her fiancé Adrian Speed of Jamesburg; her parents Daniel F. Shine, Jr. and Barbara (Wengrzynek) Shine of Milltown; her aunts – Kathryn Livingston of Marydel, Delaware, Sheila Porter of Naples, Florida and Judi Nicastro of Alton, New Hampshire; her uncles Robert Wengrzynek of Old Town, Maine and Barry Wengrzynek of Alton, Maine and many cousins.

Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Selover Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Loving Hands Cat Rescue, 69A Whitehead Avenue, South River, NJ or Karma Cat and Zen Dog Rescue Society, 39 South Main Street, Milltown, NJ.
