Obituary of Heather M. Walker

Please share a memory of Heather to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Heather Marie Walker passed away suddenly at home in North Brunswick on December 24, 2021. She was 37. Born and raised a proud "Jersey Girl," Heather graduated from North Brunswick Township High School in 2002 and went on to obtain her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography and Digital Media from New York's School of Visual Arts in 2012. Heather was very talented and passionate about all types of art, but her true love in life was photography. She created her own business, Vamp Photography, to fulfill her ultimate dream of becoming a professional photographer. Like too many others, Heather struggled with mental illness and addiction which kept her from fulfilling all her goals in life. Before death, she had tried very hard to maintain sobriety and repair relationships with her loved ones. Her outpouring of love in those final months did not go unnoticed. Heather is survived by her devoted parents, Howard and Wanda Walker; her sister, Michelle (Lucas) Shaefer; her grandmothers, Luz Maldonado and Betty Blake; her aunt, Vilma (Michael) Ellwanger; her uncles, Edwin Caquias, Christopher (Ken) Walker, Thomas (Caroline) Blake Jr., and James (Emily) Blake; and many cousins and loving extended family members. She is joining her much-beloved grandfather, Lorenzo Caquias, and her step-grandfather Thomas Blake Sr., in death. Private funeral services are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations to The Partnership to End Addiction: https://hope.drugfree.org/personal-fundraisers/Donate/
