Obituary of Eleanor Amato

Eleanor (Brown) Amato died Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison. She was 78.

Born in Perth Amboy to the late Alfred and Ruth (Doll) Brown, she lived in Rahway and Perth Amboy before entering Roosevelt Care Center in 2013.

Surviving are her daughter Cynthia Dashko and her husband Andrew of Hamilton; five sisters – Ruth Latario of Dunellen, Catherine Yanick of Palmyra, Nancy Brown of Vero Beach, Florida, Patricia Thurston and her husband Gary of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Ethel Sterinsky and her husband Len of Edison; two granddaughters – Alexa Dashko of Teaneck and Morgan Dashko of Montgomery, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM Thursday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 5:30 PM service at the funeral home. Private cremation will follow.
