Obituary of Sharon Rae Hedden

Colonia, NJ

Sharon Rae (Smukler) Hedden died Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at JFK Hospital in Edison. She was 85.

Born in Elizabeth to the late Theodore and Rose (Grossberg) Smukler, she lived in Colonia for 62 years. She was a principal clerk typist for Woodbridge Township for 26 years before her retirement in 2010.

She is a member of Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood, Edison

Sharon is predeceased by her husband Robert Stephen Hedden, brother Ralph Smukler, nephew Richard Smukler and her son-in-law, Bernard Fodor. Surviving are her three daughters – Patricia Fodor of New Brunswick, Kathi Walsheck and her husband Louis of Woodbridge and Lisa Misak and her husband Rick of Akron, PA; a granddaughter Shannon Fodor of New Brunswick; a niece Leslie Smukler and a nephew Alan Smukler.

Visitation will be 9 AM to 10 AM on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick with a funeral service to be held at 10:00 AM at Selover Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Clover Leaf Cemetery in Woodbridge.
