Obituary of Giuseppe Lombardo

Giuseppe Lombardo died Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 90 years old. Born in Sicily, Italy, he settled in New Brunswick in 1972. Giuseppe had worked for Rutgers University Dining Service for over 20 years before retiring in 1996. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt. Virgin RC Church in New Brunswick. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmela Cascio Cannavo Carolina in 2000. Surviving are three sons – Candeloro Lombardo and his wife Josephine of North Brunswick, Antonino Lombardo of New Brunswick and Pietro Lombardo of Monroe Twp.; three grandchildren – Michael, Angela and Marcella and two great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
