Obituary of Vinzinet A. Maimone

Vinzinet A. "Vinnie" Maimone died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 93 years old. Born in Niagara Falls, New York to the late Carmello and Louise (Markett) Malavenda, she lived in New Brunswick before moving to the Somerset section of Franklin Township 61 years ago. She was a loan receptionist for Peoples Bank in New Brunswick for over 25 years before her retirement in 1992. Prior to that she had worked for the Ethicon division of Johnson and Johnson in Somerville. Mrs. Maimone was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by seven brothers and a sister. Surviving are her husband Peter J. Maimone; her daughter Louise Martin and her husband Edward of Old Bridge; her son James Maimone and his wife Adrianne of Somerset; her sister JoAnn Malavenda of Cedar Mountain, North Carolina; her brother Vincent Malavenda of Deerfield Beach, Florida; three grandchildren – Crystal Alampi and her husband Santo, Jessica Maimone and James Maimone; two great grandchildren – Carmine and Vincenza Alampi; and several loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:45 AM Monday, April 11, 2022 from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
