Obituary of Cara Angelia Farella

Cara Angelia Farella died Tuesday, May 3, 2022, after a hard fought battle with anxiety, depression and addiction. A beloved daughter, sister, aunt and dog mom, she was 31. Born in New Brunswick, she was a lifelong North Brunswick resident. She was proud to receive her bachelors degree from Rutgers University and was a caseworker for Legacy Treatment Services in East Brunswick for the past two years. She was compelled to help others in her career and throughout her life. Surviving are her parents Ralph Farella, Jr. and JuliAnne (Testa) Farella of North Brunswick; her sister Nichole Mastrianni and her husband Matt of East Brunswick; her brother Daniel Farella of North Brunswick; her beloved nephews Ryan and Brandon Mastrianni; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who surrounded her with love. She is also survived by her sweet companion Layla Belle. Cara had a deep love for animals. In lieu of flowers Cara's family asks that you consider a donation in her memory to the NY Bully crew or a local animal shelter of your choice. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, May 6, 2022, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Selover Funeral Home. Private cremation will follow.
