Obituary of Aida R. Alonso

Aida Alonso, 93 peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Parker at Somerset. She was born on June 7, 1928, in Moron, Cuba to her parents Arturo and Lucilla Angulo. She made her adventure to the United States in the 1950's and landed in West New York, NJ before moving to Somerset, NJ in 2001 to be closer to her family. Aida was a gifted seamstress who loved to sew whether it was to hem pants or crafting a wedding gown from scratch. She was self-employed and did most of her sewing from a storage closet outside her apartment. Aida was predeceased by her husband Ronald Alonso, her daughter Joanne R. Morin, a brother Arturo Angulo and her granddaughter Nancy Blue. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, George and Rosemary Alonso of Largo, FL; three grandchildren, Vivian Cleworth and her husband Ernie, Bryant Morin and his wife Amanda, George Alonso II and his wife Nikki; eleven great grandchildren, Ernie, Matthew, Paige, Chase, Evangelina, Jude, Chiara, Luca, George III, Madison and Abigail. Prayer service will be held at her final resting place Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 NJ-27, North Brunswick on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 2pm.
