Obituary of Richard P. Young

Richard P. Young died Sunday, May 29, 2022, at his home in North Brunswick. He was 56.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica he lived in Louisiana before moving to North Brunswick eight years ago. He was an electrician with LM Construction in New Brunswick.

He was predeceased by his father Ralph Young. Surviving are two sons – Maurice Young and his wife Jenny of Queens, New York and Toshiro Purvis of Georgia; his daughter Tatiana Williams and her husband Errik of Colorado; his mother Mernel Young of Florida; four brothers – David Young of Brooklyn, New York, Steve Young of Queens, Julian Young of Florida and Michael Young of Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren – Zhyion Williams, Ahvaya Williams, Nassir Williams and Maurice Young, Jr..

Visitation will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Private cremation will follow.
