Obituary of Florence P. Aversa

Florence P. (Browning) Aversa died Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at her home in Monroe Township. She was 80 years old.

Born in Jersey City to the late Francis and Florence (VanMeer) Browning, she lived in New Jersey, Virginia and Florida before moving to Monroe Township six years ago.

Mrs. Aversa was an avid doll collector and was a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs. Many years ago she was a Sunday school teacher at St. Bartholomew R,C, Church in East Brunswick.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Stephen P. Aversa; her daughter Marie Krause and her husband David of North Brunswick; two sons – Robert Aversa and his wife Tonya of Emporium, Pennsylvania and Thomas Aversa and his wife Becky of Odenville, Alabama; ten grandchildren – Kayleigh, Sean, Kevin, Brynn, Brett, Chelsey, Kacie, Robert Jr., TJ and Christine; and six great grandchildren – Keelan, Carrick, Mae Marie, Addie, Cecilia and Kylee.

Cremation was private. A gathering of friends and relatives will be held 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick with a memorial funeral service at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to a heart research charity of one's choice.
