Obituary of James Nicoletti

James Nicoletti died Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. He was 83. Born in New Brunswick to the late Elmer and Anna (Arico) Nicoletti, he was raised in New Brunswick and graduated from St. Peter's High School where he met his high school sweetheart "Lynn". They became inseparable, married in 1960, and moved to North Brunswick where they resided for 50 years before moving to Monroe Township in 2010. Jim continued his education at Rider College where he earned his bachelor degree. He was a senior account agent for Allstate Insurance Company in East Brunswick for over 40 years retiring in 2000. Mr. Nicoletti was a member of the North Brunswick Township Board of Education from 1976 to 1980 and served as its president for two years. He was a member of the Thoroughbred Horse Racing Association and was an owner and breeder of thoroughbred horses for many years. He loved the special times at the racetrack and celebrating in the "Winners Circle". Jim was an avid reader and also enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening and traveling. Jim was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and was always quick to acknowledge all of their accomplishments. Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Lynn (Tegen) Nicoletti; two sons – James M. Nicoletti of Marlboro and Michael Nicoletti of Plainsboro; two daughters – Andrea Casey and her husband Larry of Monroe and Noel Talerico and her husband Craig of Milltown; four grandchildren – C.J. and Kyle Talerico and Nicole and Larry Casey; and his brother Nicholas Nicoletti of Monroe. Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2022 at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
