Obituary of Duane G. Palaima

Duane G. Palaima died Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 70.

Born in Edison to the late Wassal and Helen (Housman) Palaima, he lived in Edison before moving to North Brunswick 33 years ago. He was owner/operator of Duane's Garage, a heavy diesel repair center, in North Brunswick for 47 years before retiring in 2021.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Carol (Previte) Palaima; three brothers – Charles Palaima and his wife Dru-Anne of Freehold, Robert Palaima of Hebron, Kentucky and Wassal Palaima, Jr. and his wife Kim of Forked River; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick with a funeral service to be held at 7:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home. Private cremation will follow.
