Obituary of Nicoletta M Bonanne

Nicoletta M. "Nikki" (Furnari) Bonanne died Thursday, September 15, 2022, at SunRise Assisted Living in East Brunswick. She was 88.

Born in New Brunswick to the late Nicholas and Mary (Mezzina) Furnari she lived in Edison for 60 years before moving to East Brunswick in 2018. She worked for the Boy Scouts of America in North Brunswick for nine years before becoming a customer service representative for Federal Express in Somerset for 20 years. She retired in 1999.

Mrs. Bonanne was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick and St. Theresa's R.C. Church in Edison. She volunteered her time at the coffee shop of St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick for ten years. Nikki will be remembered for her Christmas Eve dinners and her famous counter-cross stitch pillows.

Her husband John A. "Butch" Bonanne died in 2001. Surviving are two daughters – Luann Breese of Point Pleasant Beach and Jean Weber and her husband Bill of South Brunswick; her son John Bonanne and his wife Charlotte of Manasquan; her sister Mary VanDerveer of Edison; seven grandchildren – Casey Breese, Kyle Breese and his wife Elly, Victoria Breese, Michael Weber, Joseph Weber, Melanie Bonanne and Steven Bonanne; and a great grandson – Louis Breese.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2022, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
