Obituary of Josephine M. Bogacs

Josephine M. (Varo) Bogacs died Thursday, October 20, 2022, at her home in Milltown. She was 100 years old. Born in the Deans section of South Brunswick to the late Giuseppe and Concetta (Bosis) Varo, she lived in Milltown since 1956. She was a stock clerk for Maidenform in Edison where she worked before her retirement. Prior to that she had worked at the Boys Scouts of America National Headquarters in North Brunswick and Sears and Roebuck in New Brunswick.. Mrs. Bogacs was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in Milltown. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Joseph Bogacs in 2006; two brothers - Nicholas and James Varo; and two sisters – Rose Varo and Julia DeLasso. Surviving are her daughter Beverly Valdata of East Brunswick; her son Joseph Bogacs of Lodi, California; four grandchildren – Kimberly Pecesky, Dawn Jessup, Joanna Levin and Jay Michael Bogacs; and five great grandchildren – Paige Pecesky, Liana and Kayla Jessup and Louis and Leo Bogacs. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Selover Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
