Obituary of Ronald J. Eichert

Ronald J. Eichert died Friday, October 21, 2022 at Complete Care at Park Place in South Brunswick. He was 78.

Born in New Brunswick to the late Adam H. and Sadie (Haydu) Eichert, he was raised in North Brunswick, Florida, Franklin Township and Milltown. He graduated from Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School in 1963 and joined the United States Navy where he served until 1966. He returned to North Brunswick in 1988.

After the Navy, Ron worked for Procydene and Kember Business Machines until becoming a Sheriff's Officer in the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department where he worked for 25 years before retiring in 1997. He also worked part-time as an armed guard in transportation and civil service, for the Home News Tribune and as a school bus driver.

Mr. Eichert attended Robertsville Bible Church in Morganville.

He was predeceased by his wife Sharon (Kozla) Eichert in 2006; and by his daughter Melanie Tara Garland in 2019. Surviving are his brother Lanny Eichert of Utah; and his fiancée Joan Nazzaro of Monmouth Junction.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 24, 2022, in Elmwood Cemetery in North Brunswick. A memorial service will be held 2:30 PM on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Robertsville Bible Church, 2 Church Road, Morganville. Arrangements are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
