Joyce E. (O'Donnell) Fusella died Monday, November 7, 2022, at her home in North Brunswick. She was 63. Born in New Brunswick to the late John J. O'Donnell, Jr. and Josephine (Anzalone) O'Donnell, she lived in Milltown before moving to North Brunswick eight years ago. Joyce was a fierce mother and friend who would protect those she loved to the ends of the Earth. Big hearted and fun loving, she was always the life of the room. She made friends everywhere she went, and was the community mom to both her daughter's friends, and her own. Which earned her the nickname "Mama Joyce". She had a lifelong love of horses, her fuzzy son Dakota brought her so much joy. They locked eyes at the auction, and were instantly connected from then on. It gave her great joy to provide him with such love, and quality golden years after earning his stripes as a trotter horse. She loved riding motorcycles from her youth, into her late fifties. She made many strong connections through the motorcycle community, and was highly respected. Joyce loved music, she was always singing and blasting her tunes in her car. She spent her youth in the New Brunswick music scene, where she made lifelong friends who became her family. Her loyalty and devotion to those she loved was unparalleled. She will always be loved and remembered for her unique personality, big voice, and gigantic heart. Joyce will be a force after life, just as she was throughout her time on earth. Surviving are two daughters – Elizabeth Fusella of North Brunswick and Desiree Fusella of Flemington. Cremation was private. A memorial service will be held at a later time to be announced.
