Obituary of Marjorie L. Williams

Marjorie L. (Nelson) Williams died Monday, December 5, 2022, at her home in North Brunswick. She was 91. Born in Natick, Massachusetts to the late Ronald C. and Agnes M. (Bailey) Nelson, she lived in Rahway before moving to North Brunswick in 1963. She was the assistant production director of Boy's Life Magazine for the Boy Scouts of America National Headquarters in North Brunswick for 20 years until the headquarters moved to Texas in 1978. She then worked at Webcraft in North Brunswick for over 15 years when she retired. Mrs. Williams was a member of the United Methodist Church at Milltown. Surviving are her husband James R. Williams; her son Clifford Williams of Monmouth Junction; her daughter Audrey McCarthy and her husband Robert of McLean, Virginia; two brothers – Paul Nelson and his wife JoEllen and Wesley Nelson, both of Colorado; five grandchildren – Craig Williams of Binghamton, New York, Brandon Williams of Jersey City, Brian McCarthy of Sarasota, Florida, Laura Putnam and her husband Michael of Vienna, Virginia and Kevin McCarthy of McLean, Virginia; and her great granddaughter Millie Putnam. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the United Methodist Church at Milltown, 47 North Main Street, Milltown. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in North Brunswick. Arrangements are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home in North Brunswick.
