Obituary of Matilde Rivera

Matilde (Flores) Rivera died Friday, December 16, 2022, at her home in Monroe Township. She was 95.

Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro Flores and Maria Sanchez, she lived in North Brunswick before moving to Monroe Township in 2012.

Her husband, Marino Rivera-Martinez died in 2007. She was also predeceased by her daughter Pearl Rodriguez; her son Marino Rivera, Jr.; and her grandson Andrew Lopez. Surviving are four daughters – Pamela Cartagena of Edison, Sandra Lasanta of Tamarac, Florida, Maria Mercedes Ortega of Monroe Township and Tamara Talty of Jacksonville, Florida; twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Private cremation was under the direction of Selover Funeral Home in North Brunswick.
