Obituary of Concetta Nastasi

Concetta (Sfameni) Nastasi died Friday, January 13, 2023, at Francis E. Parker Memorial Home in New Brunswick. She was 89.

Born in San Pier, Niceto, Sicily, Italy to the late Joseph and Rosa (Locandro) Sfameni, she immigrated to Swan Hill, Australia with her father and sisters, Rosina and Grace, in 1950. She married in 1953 and came to the United States in 1960, settling in New Brunswick before moving to Edison in 1963. She worked for Revlon, Inc. in Edison for 25 years before her retirement in 1993.

Mrs. Nastasi was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister Grace Duca. Surviving are her husband Rocco Nastasi; three sons – Nick Nastasi and his wife Pamela of Little Egg Harbor, Joseph Nastasi and his fiancée Jane Duke of Raritan Township in Hunterdon County and Peter Nastasi and his wife Lois of South River; five sisters – Pat Ravida, Carmella Meo, Sarina Villani, Mary Miles and Rosina Abate, all of Victoria, Australia; her brother Santo Sfameni of Victoria, Australia; two sisters-in-law – Carmella Pinizzotto of Highland Park and Antoinette Fareri of North Brunswick; her grandson Nicholas Nastasi and his wife Chelsea; and her great granddaughter Emilie Nastasi.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Friday, January 20, 2023, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
