Obituary of Gale M. Wasylyk

Gale M. (Emerick) Wasylyk died Monday, February 13, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 72.

Born in New Brunswick to the late George Emerick, Jr. and Helen (Poper) Emerick, she lived in North Brunswick before moving to East Brunswick 42 years ago. She was a licensed practical nurse at JFK Medical Center in Edison for 48 years before retiring in 2021.

Gale enjoyed cooking, gardening and walking through her neighborhood and greeting neighbors.

Surviving are her husband of 42 years Donald Wasylyk; her sister Linda Meyers-Wilczynski and her husband Leonard Wilczynski of Manchester; her brother Gary Emerick and his wife Barbara of Toms River; nephews and nieces – Craig, Kevin, Michael, Kristy and Sean; and her beloved dog Charlie.

Private cremation was under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
