Obituary of Rose Lombardo

Rose (Vaccaro) Lombardo died Friday, March 31, 2023, at Bartley Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jackson. She was 93.

Born in New Brunswick to the late Vito J. "Bill" and Grace (LaRosa) Vaccaro, she was a North Brunswick resident for most of her life. She was an administrative assistant for the Township of North Brunswick for 16 years before retiring in 1984.

Mrs. Lombardo was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick and was a member of the church's Rosary Society. She was a member of the North Brunswick Italian American Club and the North Brunswick Senior Citizens Club.

He husband Rosario E. "James" Lombardo died in 2002; and her son Salvatore J. "Butch" Lombardo died in 2015. Surviving are her daughter Maryann Swierczek and her husband Paul of Plymouth, Massachusetts; her sister Lucy Perrino and her husband Chris of Milltown; four grandchildren – Christina Swierczek, Cheryl DeLorey and her husband Matthew, Danielle Callahan and her husband Erik, and Dominique Lombardo; and eight great grandchildren – Joseph, Paul, Samantha, Jack, Katie, Amelia, James and Theodore.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.
