Obituary of Jacqueline Anna Hofer

Jacqueline Anna "Jackie" (Mignon) Hofer died Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 86.
Born in New York City to the late Emile and Mary (Correge) Mignon, she lived in North Brunswick before moving to the Somerset section of Franklin Township in 2016. She was a dental assistant working for Dr. Wayne Choper in Highland Park for five years before retiring in 1998.
Jackie and her late husband, Alfred W. "Bud" Hofer, were members of the New Brunswick Kennel Club and bred pugs for over 50 years as AlJack Pugs. They had many champion dogs.
In addition to her husband, Alfred W. "Bud" Hofer who died in 2019, she was predeceased by her grandson Michael William Hofer. Surviving are three sons – Eric Hofer and his wife Caroline of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, Mark Hofer of North Brunswick and David Hofer of Somerville; four grandchildren – Stephanie Marie Hill, Ashley Anne Easton, Alexis Lee Pruitt and Lorean Hofer; and five great grandchildren – Joshua Michael Hofer, Aurora Abigail Strittenberger, William Alfonzo Hill, Chase Alexander Pruitt and Hannah Caroline Pruitt.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 1:00 PM graveside service in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
