Obituary of Carmela Gallina

Carmela "Connie" Micale Gallina died Monday, April 10, 2023, in Franklin Township. She was 92. Born in New Brunswick to the late Pasquale and Carmela (Longo) Micale she lived in New Brunswick before moving to Monroe Township 18 years ago. She worked as an administrative clerk for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission in East Brunswick for 10 years before retiring in 1992. Mrs. Gallina was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick and was a member of the Italian American Club at Rossmoor. She was predeceased by her husband John J. "Chick" Gallina in 2005; and by her daughter Patricia A. Sierotowicz this past January. Surviving are her daughter Ann Marie Marson and her husband Scott of Glen Allen, Virginia; her son John P. Gallina and his wife Marianne of Flemington; her sister Angelina Quagliata and her husband Dominick of New Brunswick; six grandchildren – David Sierotowicz and his wife Lauren, Joseph Sierotowicz and his wife Diana, Zachary Marson, Kyle Marson, Giovanna Gallina and Miranda Gallina; and two great grandchildren – Haley Sierotowicz and Gavin Sierotowicz. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
