Ruth J. (Cool) Crawford died Monday, April 24, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 88.
Born in Elizabeth to the late Edwin A. and Veronica M. (McNally) Cool, she lived in Elizabeth before moving to North Brunswick 57 years ago. Before retiring in 2006 her last place of employment was L'Oreal USA, Inc. in Dayton for 18 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles V. Crawford; her daughter – Kathleen Mangarella; her son Edwin Gorda; and her sister Mary Jane Shannon. Surviving are three sons – Dennis Gorda and his wife Patricia of Boonsboro, Virginia, Jeffrey Gorda and his wife Karen of Forest, Virginia and Mark Gorda and his wife Patricia of East Brunswick; three daughters – Deborah Gorda of Nevada, Lynn Marie Harding of Playa Del Rey, California and Michelle Gorda of North Brunswick; two sisters – Eileen Bene of West Brookfield, Massachusetts and Rita Durett of Schnecksville, Pennsylvania; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Private cremation was under the direction of Selover Funeral Home in North Brunswick.
