Obituary of Gayle R. Woody

Gayle R. (Hooton) Woody died Thursday, May 18, 2023, at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. She was 87. Born in Rahway to the late Raymond and Mary (Klimcho) Hooton, she lived in North Brunswick before moving to Monroe Township in 1998. She was an administrative assistant for Asea Brown Boveri in North Brunswick before her retirement. Her husband Raymond J. Woody, Sr. died in 2012. Surviving are two sons – Raymond J. Woody Jr. and his wife Laura of Oak Ridge and Scott A. Woody and his wife Christine of Doylestown, Pennsylvania; her daughter Linda Ahearn of Monroe Township; and four grandchildren – Jessica DePaola, Michael Woody, Julia Ahearn and Elijah Woody. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Selover Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
