Obituary of Patrick J. Buckley, Sr.

Patrick J. Buckley, Sr. died Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 81.

 

Born in New Brunswick, he lived in North Brunswick for 60 years. He worked as a union electrician for IBEW Local 456 and as an inspector for the Township of North Brunswick for 40 years before retiring in 2000.

 

Patrick was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt. Virgin RC Church in New Brunswick where he served as an usher and was also a member of North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company #1.

 

He was predeceased by his brother John C. "Jack" Buckley. Surviving are his wife, Arlene (Koch) Buckley; sons Patrick Buckley, Jr. and his wife Linda of North Brunswick and Keith Buckley and his wife Jennifer of Jackson; his sister Joann Kamenz of Palm City, Florida; and his grandchildren – Kaylyn Christian, Arianna Buckley, Amber Buckley, Arick Buckley, Patrick Dean Buckley and Dean Joseph Buckley.

 

Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin RC Church, New Brunswick. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Co. #1, 600 Cranbury Cross Road, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
