Our 1948 NBHS year book spoke twice of Carmelinda's smile and what a beautiful smile it was. She was always open to accepting new people into our group. I'll miss you my dear friend. Rest with God.

I am so sadden to hear of the passing of Mrs. Bellizia. She was such a kind and loving woman. I have so many fond memories of her growing up. Sending prayers for comfort and peace to Prosper, Pat, Linda, Vinny and their families. May she rest in eternal peace.

May the Lord’s grace bring solace to those who grieve the loss of Carmelinda, a remarkably radiant woman. Mrs. Bellizia was an individual whose inner beauty flourished in her actions and kindness. A cherished companion to many for numerous years, she portrayed strength and faith as a devoted woman of God. Possessed with certainty that our paths will reinterlace on divine soil, we bid farewell to our beloved friend till we meet again in heavenly peace.

I have nothing but fond memories of Carmelinda. I usually only saw her growing up at the Ciorciari's house on Drier Pl. in Highland Park. But she I remember she had a smile and a kind word for everyone there. And I'll never forget her calling me after I lost my wife, Lynn, to breast cancer in 2021. It meant the world to me and solidified her status in my mind as a Light Worker and an Angel. Rest in peace, Carmelinda. You've earned it!

I remember shortly after Greg and I got married, and Aunt Linda was introducing me to someone. She introduced me as her niece. Not Gregory’s wife not my nephews wife, but HER niece. The feeling that gave me still lingers to this day and it taught me a great lesson on how to introduce Nieces and nephews by marriage going forward.

Carmelinda's heart was open to any of Linda's friends. I will never forget that Carmalinda called me the first Mother's day after my mother's passing. She always smiled and was so gracious to Linda's friends. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. Carmelinda touched so many lives with her profession of Padre Pio. There will be a special place for her in heaven.

One of most enjoyable vacations was going to see our relatives (Nigro/Lamort) in Reinaro Italy. Aunt Linda was our interpreter. We had a wonderful 9 day trip. This included saying hello to distant family members, great food, site seeing (Vatican and St. Pauls cathedral). I will remember always. Traveling together with Vinny, Gregory, Prosper Myself (John), and of course Aunt Linda. God bless her.
