Obituary of John L. Miller

John L. Miller died Friday, July 7, 2023, at Preferred Care at Old Bridge. He was 86. Born in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania to the late Harold and Thelma (Ploppert) Miller, he lived in North Brunswick before moving to Milltown in 1970. He was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering and worked as a project manager for Rhone Poulenc in New Brunswick for 40 years, retiring in 2002. Mr. Miller was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick where he was an usher. He served in the United States Army in the early 1960s. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters – Iris Mahler and Gwynn Smith. Surviving are his wife of 55 years Marie D. (Rado) Miller; his son Michael J. Miller and his wife Sandra of Wayside; his daughter Roseanne Giegerich and her husband Robert of Metuchen; and five grandchildren – Jack and Tessa Miller and Mattison, Robert and Mallory Giegerich. Visitation will be 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 1:00 PM funeral service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.
