Obituary of Julia A. Skala

Julia A. Skala passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at her home in North Brunswick after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was 83. She was born in Sagamore, Pennsylvania to the late Houston and Catherine Potochar, she was raised in Windber Pennsylvania. She was a long-time employee of Johnson & Johnson ESDP plant in North Brunswick and retired after 33 years of service. Julia was a loving cook and baker. Always filling the home with warmth and kindness. Nothing brought her more joy than preparing meals for family and friends. She poured her heart and soul into everything she made. She will be greatly missed. Julia is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Casimir; three children - Daniel, Timothy and Joni; two daughters in law; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a number of other loving relatives. Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Monday from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church in North Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Alzheimer's Research and Hospice Home Care.
