Obituary of Antonia Galioto

Antonia (Giammanco) Galioto died Thursday, September 7, 2023, at her home in Highland Park. She was 87. Born in Bagheria, Sicily, Italy to the late Raymond and Catharina (Pedone) Giammanco, she lived in Staten Island and Edison before moving to Highland Park 40 years ago. She was a cafeteria aide for the New Brunswick Schools for 20 years before retiring in 2021. Her husband Giovanni Batista Galioto died in 2000. Surviving are her son Ben Galioto of Highland Park; her daughter Concetta Prinzivalli and her husband Joseph of Jamesburg; her brother Francesco Giammanco of Casteldaccia, Italy; and three grandchildren – Giovanni Galioto, Sophia Galioto and Alexia Prinzivalli. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Thursday, September 14, 2023, from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge.
