It’s been a number of years since my Dad (Albert Gorzynski) and I last traveled together to visit the Gorzynski family in Pittsburgh. Despite the passing of time, we still frequently talk about that memorable trip. One of the events that I vividly recall from that trip was a visit to a local long-term healthcare facility to see my Uncle Leonard and Dad’s now deceased, Uncle Pete. At the time, Uncle Pete was sick and bedbound, along with being self-conscious about seeing visitors. Aunt Ann Louise subtly sat down by Uncle Pete’s bedside and gently took his hand and caressed it. As I stood in the doorway, I marveled at the compassion and kindness that she showed and his face reflected a great comfort and peace as she sat with him for an extended period of time. This example is indicative of how Aunt Ann Louise lived her life and the positive impact she had on so many people.
We will forever remember Aunt Ann Louise for being an incredibly kind, compassionate and beautiful lady. She is now resting in God’s loving arms and she will always be in our hearts. Our prayers and love goes out to our family and friends that are grieving during this most difficult time.
God bless,
The Gorzynski and Hee families in California.
A mass will be celebrated in Ann Louise’s honor on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 9:30 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Carlsbad

Like so many others I have wonderful memories of Ann Louise. I remember going to the zoo with Ann Louise and Len before they were married. I was so thrilled to be with my brother and his fiancée. My sister Susie and I were flower girls in their wedding. I recall many times looking at their wedding album. I considered Ann Louise a role model as a nurse and mother. She was the best of both. Years later she came to help me while I recuperated after a medical scare during the birth of my daughter Cait. I am forever thankful that she came and that Len graciously agreed she could stay an extra week. I will always remember her laugh and the many enjoyable conversations we had. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Always precise in whatever she did, I remember her asking my mother to let her measure the ingredients to make the sauce for the ravioli. And then measuring the flour and eggs for the ravioli. The family wouldn’t have the recipe today without her doing so. Although I didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time with her in the past few years my love and my memories of her haven’t changed. She was truly a great sister-in-law.
