Helen E Rusnak

 

Mrs. Helen E Rusnak passed away on Wednesday December 13, 2023, at the Libertyville Manor in Libertyville, Illinois.  She was eighty-three years of age.  

 

Mrs. Rusnak was born in New Brunswick, NJ residing in the city for most of her life.  She graduated from New Brunswick High School and married her high school sweetheart, Thomas B Rusnak Sr. shortly after. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick.    

 

She had a lengthy career as a bookkeeper.  She was employed by Kosa Travel and later the Lynch-Martin law firm for many years.  She relocated to Port Orange, FL in 2002 where she enjoyed her retirement.    In her retirement she and her husband Tom enjoyed going to NASCAR races at Daytona and later traveling to Illinois to visit her son and daughter-in-law.

 

Mrs. Rusnak was predeceased by her husband Thomas B Rusnak Sr.  in 2011.  

 

She is survived by her son Thomas B Rusnak Jr. and his wife Audrey of Lake Villa, Illinois.   She is also survived by her sister Diana Vitanza and her nephew Carmen Parillo and his wife Theresa and her son James Schron.  

 

Services are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home 555 Goerges Road in North Brunswick.   Due to renovations, private visiting will be held on Friday December 22, 2023 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset.  A funeral mass will follow at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church on Remsen Avenue in New Brunswick.   Committal services will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Piscataway.   Please consider a contribution in Mrs. Rusnak’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org
