William L. Buffalino, Sr. died Monday, August 25, 2008 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. He was 70. Born in South River, he had lived in Spotswood for 26 years before moving to Whiting in 2001. He was a carpenter working for the Carpenters Local # 1006 in Milltown for over 20 years before retiring in 2002. Mr. Buffalino was a former communicant of St. Stephen Protomartyr RC Church in South River. He was a communicant of St. Anne RC Church in Whiting and was a member of the Rangers Athletic Club in Milltown. He had served in the US Navy during the mid-1950s. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita A. Rosenberg Buffalino in 2003, a brother Dominick Buffalino and sisters Mary Dolly Sekman and Jenny Mocarski. Surviving are three daughters Brenda Crosby and her husband Robert of Spotswood, Christine Breden of Toms River and Toni Brylewsik of Point Pleasant; two sons Sid Aumack, Jr. and his wife Charlotte of Kendall Park and William L. Buffalino, Jr. and his wife Annemarie of Jamesburg; 8 grandchildren Taryn, Brandon, Kyle, Quinten, Andrew, Jamie, Michelle and Matthew; four brothers Frank Chet Buffalino of Buffalo, NY, Nick Buffalino of Sayreville, Carl Sonny Buffalino and his wife Jackie and Tony Buffalino both of South River; three sisters Carmela Mud Malyska of Somerset, Katie Wlodarczyk of Sayreville and Patty McIlvaine and her husband Jim of Spotswood and a brother-in-law Robert and his wife Jeanette of South River. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Friday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Stephen Protomartyr RC Church in South River. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.
