Obituary of Ethel M. Tegen

Ethel McManus Tegen died Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 100. Born in New Brunswick, she lived in North Brunswick for over 40 years, and was a resident of Francis E. Parker Memorial Home in Piscataway for the past 4 years. She had worked as a secretary for the Boy Scouts of America National Headquarters in North Brunswick before retiring in 1970. Mrs. Tegen was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in North Brunswick. Predeceased by her daughter Rita Hewitt, who died in 2005 and a grandson Kevin Hewitt who died in 2008, she is survived by a daughter Lynn Nicoletti and her husband James of North Brunswick; a sister Agnes Snively of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Saturday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in North Brunswick. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Francis E. Parker Memorial Home, 1421 River Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
