Theresa E. Cicerale Markowitz died Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in New Brunswick, she resided in North Brunswick for the past 62 years, and she also maintained a summer home in Brick, NJ.
Mrs. Markowitz was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt. Virgin RC Church in New Brunswick. She had also attended St. Mary's School. She was an avid collector of exotic plants and had an extensive collection of teddy bears.
Surviving are her husband Richard H. Markowitz; two sons - Richard P. Markowitz of North Brunswick and Robert J. Markowitz and his wife Diane of South River; a granddaughter Theresa A. Markowitz of South River and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8:15 AM Monday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, followed by a 9:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin RC Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9PM.
