Obituary of Kenneth E Hoffman

Kenneth E. Hoffman, 51, of Plainsboro, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at his home. Born in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong resident of North Brunswick before moving to Plainsboro 5 years ago. He graduated from North Brunswick Township High School in 1977 and from the Middlesex County Police Academy in 1979. He served 25 years as a police officer with the North Brunswick Police Department before retiring in 2004. He was also a Life Member of the North Brunswick Fire Company #3 and a member of the New Brunswick Elks Club. Kenneth most recently was employed with the Middlesex County Transportation Department. He was predeceased by his parents, Morton and Harriet Hoffman. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Danielle and Maria Hoffman of Toms River, his brother Brian and wife Debra of Princeton, along with two nephews, Eric and Matthew Hoffman. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, and his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Penny. Funeral services will be 8:30 AM Friday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. A graveside service will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge at 10 AM. Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, June 23 from 7pm-9pm at the funeral home.
