Obituary of Caroline G Gretschel

Caroline G. DeVivo Gretschel died Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at her home in North Brunswick. She was 92. Born in Brooklyn, New York she had lived there before moving to North Brunswick four years ago. Mrs. Gretschel was a communicant of St. Sylvester RC Church in Brooklyn, NY. Her husband, James C. Gretschel died in 2009. Surviving are her daughter Betty Ann Vernaci and her husband Louis of North Brunswick, a sister Betty Sylvester of Queens, NY and three grandchildren - Christopher, Brian and Paul. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Saturday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at St. Sylvester's RC Church, Brooklyn. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Queens, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
