Obituary of Joyce E Cruz

Joyce E. Paskovich Cruz died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends Monday, September 19, 2011, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 53. Born in New Brunswick, she grew up in Rutgers Village and had lived in Edison before moving to North Brunswick 10 years ago. Mrs. Cruz was the manager of The Bagel Dish in Highland Park for over 10 years, while also working at Stop and Shop in Highland Park. She was a member of Local #464 Meat Cutters Union. Surviving are her husband Gil Cruz; two sons - Vito Ciancia, Jr., his wife Wendy, and Justin Cruz; a daughter Yolanda Paskovich; four brothers - Stephen Paskovich, Michael Paskovich, Mark Paskovich and David Paskovich; four sisters - Gloria Feaster, Linda Szatsmary Fox, Nancy DiCinto and Lisa Coles; mother and father-in-law Gil and Dominga Cruz; eight nieces, ten nephews, six great nieces, two great nephews and numerous friends. She was also expecting her first granddaughter. Funeral services will be 8:15 AM Saturday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 9:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in North Brunswick. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
