Agnes K. Vassanella Baboski died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 93. Born in Colver, Pennsylvania, she had lived in Edison before moving to the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick 38 years ago. Mrs. Baboski had assembled guns at Camp Kilmer during World War II and worked at Carol Dunham Smith Pharmaceutical in North Brunswick for 10 years before retiring in 1973. She developed Alzheimer's disease in 1999. She was a communicant of St. Cecelia's RC Church in Monmouth Junction, and was a member of both the South Brunswick Senior Citizens and Golden Age Club. Her husband, Joseph W. Baboski, died in 1996. She is also predeceased by two daughters - Barbara (age 5 months) in 1944 and Jean (age 10 years) in 1956; her parents Luciano and Lucia Vassanella; three sisters - Theresa DeMarco, Katherine Nastus and Ida Maiorano; and two brothers - Frank and James Vassanella Surviving are her loving daughter Lisa Riegel and her husband Bruce of Monmouth Junction; and two very special granddaughters - Maria and Diana. Funeral services will be 9:45 AM Saturday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Cecelia RC Church, Monmouth Junction. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 7PM to 9PM.
