Obituary of Rosaria "Sarah" A. Nastus

Rosaria "Sarah" A. Puleio Nastus died Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge. She was 90. Born in San Pier Niceto, Italy she had lived in North Brunswick before moving into the Reformed Church Home in 2008. Mrs. Nastus was a house manager and private cook at Rutgers University in New Brunswick for over ten years before retiring in 1995. Prior to Rutgers she had worked at National Musical String in North Brunswick, Bond Clothing Company in New Brunswick and Mack Motors in Edison. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick and was a member of the church's Rosary Society. Her husband Carmen J. Nastus died in 1988. She is also predeceased by three grandsons - Brian, Scott and Mark Dashevsky. Surviving are her daughter Roseann Dashevsky and her husband Bruce of Monmouth Junction; three sons - Anthony Nastus and his wife Mary of North Brunswick, Carmen Nastus of Monmouth Junction and Ronald Nastus and his wife Kathy of Kendall Park; a brother August Puleio of North Brunswick; nine grandchildren - Anthony, Jr., James, Michael, Christina, Robert, Michelle, Phillip, Elise and Brianne; and a great granddaughter Martha Paige Nastus. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Wednesday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church in East Brunswick. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
