Robert F. Hyer, former owner of The Friday Agency in North Brunswick, died suddenly on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at his home in Yardley, Pennsylvania. He was 70. Robert was born on October 24, 1941 to the late Ruebin Hyer of Holmdel and Gladys Ferris of Milltown. He graduated from New Brunswick High School in 1959, where he ran Track and won several medals. In October 2009 he celebrated his 50th High School reunion. He attended Brown University and used his education to master a career in finance and real estate appraisals. He completed many jobs both large and small for banks, companies, and local and state departments. Before retiring, he was the owner of The Friday Agency in North Brunswick where he conducted most of his business with his faithful employee of more than 30 years, Flo Tulner. Mr. Hyer was a member of the New Jersey National Guard. He was well known as a successful and well respected appraiser, consultant and realtor. He was very active in the Fee Appraisers Organization where he had served as president. Surviving are his loving daughter Sheryl Hyer Iannuzzelli and her husband Daniel of Holmdel and two grandsons - Hunter and Trevor DeNicola. He is also survived by a stepdaughter Jill Ressler Duffy and her children Matthew and Michael Duffy; a stepson Todd Ressler and his wife Tara and their daughter Hannah; and Jill and Todd's mother Linda Hyer, all of Newtown, Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 5 PM to 8 PM.
