Obituary of Joan A Dunaj

Joan A. Dunaj (also known as Dunay) died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at McCarrick Care Center in Somerset. She was born in Jersey City and has resided in North Brunswick for the last 28 years. She had worked for AT&T, originally NJ Bell, as a systems analyst for over 50 years. She retired in 2003. Ms. Dunaj was a communicant of St. Augustine of Canterbury RC Church in South Brunswick. She was also a member of the Columbiettes and the Red Hatters. She is survived by her mother, Helen V. Dunay of North Brunswick; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Dunay of Alpharetta, Georgia; her uncle, Martin Mackin Sr. of Toms River; her cousins, Martin Mackin Jr. and his wife, Lee Ann of Rockaway, John Mackin and his children Jennifer and Dennis of Denville and John Cibor of Hazlet. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Thursday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Augustine of Canterbury RC Church in South Brunswick. Burial will follow in Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
