John was such a nice man and he will be missed .
. It was very evident that he was a loving and proud grandfather.
We shared many happy times talking
about our mutual grandchildren , at their various celebrations.

Having known John for most of my life, I consider it to have been a great pleasure to have known John. His true happiness was found in the eyes of his grand children, many friends and family and he has been our favorite babysitter and wonderful with all our children, a true blessing. a true giver, and a true care taker. He will be missed and as I write this I am choked up, as this never happens to me. It hurts. I will finish with a positive truth. He was happy when he passed. I know it as I had the privilege of possibly being the last person to speak with him back east last Friday night and we dropped our cell phone calls speaking to each other a couple of times while he said he was heading to town for dinner and losing cell reception.
I want his whole family, my family and all of John's many friends to know he was a t peace. I want them to know how hard we were laughing together talking about his day, and about him doing what he loved so much 'breaking up that ground beneath him with his backhoe'. For all who knew John well, he was howling in laughter the way he only could. I am glad he is at peace. May God Bless his soul and his entire family and my mother and all of our families and our futures. John would only want it this way. Let's everyone rejoice in his life. This was much harder for me to write than I ever expected. I will miss him. We will all miss him. Best regards.
